We use the personal information we collect to service your account. Throughout your club membership, your account history and club experience is maintained in a secure customer file. All our third party service providers who may need access to our members' information to perform fulfillment and other services for us or our members are held to the strictest confidentiality requirements and are (a) only authorized to use the personal information for the intended purpose accessed and (b) not permitted by us to use personal information in any other way or for any other reason.
Doubleday Book Club will only use your email address to contact you about merchandise or product offerings which may be of interest to you, to contact you about your account, or for Doubleday Book Club’s internal use.
The following types of companies are sometimes permitted to use our Member Contact Information [defined above] to promote goods and services: Catalog, Publishing, Fundraising/Non Profit, Financial, Credit Card, Insurance, Newsletters, Other Club/Continuity programs, Education and Seminar Companies, e-Commerce and marketing firms and other Direct Marketing service firms. From time to time, Doubleday Book Club may make arrangements with other companies to provide you with joint products or services. We may also participate in cooperative databases and work with third party modeling service providers to facilitate targeting of future marketing efforts.

While we and our Affiliates offer children's products, including a book club for parents that sells children's books, we do not solicit children for membership but, rather, their parents, nor do we intend to collect any information from children. Any information we do have on file relating to the children of members is used for internal purposes only in conjunction with their account. With regard to our list-rental practices, we do not offer or disclose specific individual information about our members' children (other than the fact that there are households with children of a particular age range and sex).
Personally identifiable information collected on this site may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Doubleday Book Club or its partners, affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using this site, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
